Privacy Policy — Calm Home Sync

Calm Home Sync is an internal scheduling and calendar-synchronization tool built for The Calm Home Company. It is not a public product — it connects a small, fixed set of Google accounts belonging to The Calm Home Company and its staff in order to keep calendars, tasks, and customer records in sync across the tools the business already uses (Google Calendar, Motion, Housecall Pro, and Quo).

What information we access

With explicit account-owner authorization (via Google’s OAuth consent screen), Calm Home Sync accesses:

Google Calendar data (via the Google Calendar API) — event titles, times, locations, descriptions, and attendee information, for the specific Google accounts that have been connected by their owners. This is used solely to mirror calendar events into a single master calendar and to detect new customer bookings.
Gmail send access (via the Gmail API, gmail.send scope only) — used solely to send a daily summary email and failure alerts to hello@thecalmhome.co. Calm Home Sync does not read, search, or otherwise access the contents of any Gmail inbox.

Calm Home Sync does not request any Gmail read/modify scopes at this time.

How this information is used

Calendar data is used exclusively to:

Mirror events from connected calendars into a master calendar for unified scheduling visibility
Detect new customer bookings and create corresponding customer records in Housecall Pro
Generate a daily summary email of sync activity

Calm Home Sync’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data storage and security

OAuth refresh tokens are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are never logged or transmitted to any third party.
Calendar and booking data is stored in a private database accessible only to the application and its operator.
No data collected by Calm Home Sync is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Who this applies to

Calm Home Sync is used only by The Calm Home Company and a small number of individually authorized accounts belonging to its owner and staff. It is not available to the general public and does not knowingly collect data from anyone outside this group.

Data retention and deletion

Data is retained only as long as needed to support the sync functionality described above. Any connected account owner may revoke Calm Home Sync’s access at any time via their Google Account permissions page, which immediately stops all further access.
