✨ Role Overview

The Calm Home Company helps clients turn overwhelming spaces into calm, functional homes.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role combining:

  • Physical organizing work

  • Problem-solving

  • High-touch customer experience

You will work inside clients’ homes to declutter, organize, and implement systems that make daily life easier.

📅 Schedule & Work Structure

  • Part-time, project-based (1099 contractor role)

  • Most work is currently on weekends (Saturday/Sunday)

  • Occasional weekday work may be available

  • As demand grows, weekday opportunities expected within 3–6 months

  • Typical workdays are 6–8 hours

👉 This role is ideal for someone who wants flexible work that can grow over time
👉 If you are not available on weekends, this is not a fit right now

🚗 Transportation Requirement

  • Must have a reliable, well-maintained vehicle

  • You will travel to client homes across the area

  • Reliability and punctuality are critical

  • Currently we’re focusing on Stark and southern Summit counties.

💼 Employment Type (Important)

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a W-2 position.

  • You are responsible for your own taxes

  • You will have flexibility in scheduling based on project availability

  • This role is best suited for individuals comfortable with contractor work

  • As we scale, we will transition into a W-2 setup.

🧩 What You’ll Do

🧼 Home Reset & Organization

  • Declutter and organize spaces (closets, kitchens, garages, etc.)

  • Create simple, sustainable systems

  • Label and arrange items for efficiency

  • Assist with moves and life transitions - not moving boxes, just unpacking them

🧠 Problem Solving

  • Identify friction points in spaces

  • Recommend realistic, functional solutions

  • Adapt systems to each client

💬 Client Experience

  • Maintain a calm, judgment-free presence

  • Communicate clearly and professionally

  • Support clients through emotional transitions

🧱 Physical Work

  • Lift/move items (~40 lbs regularly)

  • Be on your feet for extended periods

  • Work in varied home environments

🚫 Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Reliable, well-maintained vehicle

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Cigarette and dip free- pouches are okay

  • Ability to pass background check (no violent/financial crimes)

  • Comfortable working around pets and clutter

💰 Compensation

  • Training: $25/hour

  • Standard: $30/hour

  • Lead: $38/hour
